Kind of personal data we process and purposes |
We may collect various categories of personal data relating to you, including:

- - Education data (e.g. degree programme information, qualifications, study results, language skills, satisfaction surveys)

The processing of your personal data in relation to the above purposes is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest laid down by:
- - University of Barcelona Compliance with a mission carried out in the public interest (Organic Law 2/2023, of March 22, on the university system and Law 1/2003, of February 19, on Universities of Catalonia).
- - Trinity College Dublin: Universities Act, 1997. Available at: http://www.irishstatutebook.ie/eli/1997/act/24/enacted/en/html .
- - Utrecht University: the Law on Higher Education and Research, article 1.3, Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, Kingdom of the Netherlands.
- - Eötvös Loránd University: Act CCIV of 2011 On National Higher Education. The University processes data concerning health in accordance with the legal basis above, as well as in line with GDPR Article 9(2) f) in the case of certificates of absence.
- - University of Montpellier: Loi « Informatique et Libertés » du 6 janvier 1978, modifiée par la loi du 6 août 2004.
Furthermore, we need to process your personal data to comply with the contractual obligations we have agreed with you. Hence, the processing of your personal data is necessary for the performance of an agreement.
In certain cases, we are also required to process your personal data to fulfil a legal obligation.
If none of the above-mentioned legal bases apply, we will ask for your consent to process your personal data. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

| Data storage period |
In the case of TCD, UU and UM: your information will be kept for the time necessary to fulfil the purpose for which they were collected and to determine the possible responsibilities that could be derived. The retention periods differ with regards to the type of processing activity and the purpose for which the personal data were collected.
At the case of the UB: the information of the academic record will be kept permanently according to the Law 10/2001, of 13 July, on archives and documents.
At the case of the ELTE: Eighty years from the notification of the termination of student status (I/B of annex 3 to Act CCIV of 2011 On National Higher Education) (except distance learning). |
| Recipients |
The recipients of your personal data are the above-mentioned Universities and those in charge of processing your data on behalf of the University, if applicable. Your data will not be transferred to third parties (inside and outside the EU) unless there is a legal obligation to do so, as to the body responsible for operating the higher education information system |
