The Gender Mess: Why Do Bodies Matter?

Fina Birulés, researcher of the Seminari Filosofia i Gènere / ADHUC, will maintain a dialogue with the philosopher Judith Butler, moderated by Marta Segarra (LEGS-CNRS and ADHUC–Universitat de Barcelona). The dialogue will focus on issues of gender and sexuality, relating feminist thought to reflection on life in common. Butler and Birulés will consider concepts such as biology and materiality of the body, culture and social norms, precariousness, vulnerability and political action. The dialogue is part of theThinking Biennale, Open City, organized by CCCB in collaboration with ADHUC. Free admission.
