Hannah Arendt's understanding of history: from factual matter to narrative reification

The Seminari Filosofia i Gènere is organising a new session of the 15th International Lecture Series “Arendtian Springs”.
In this session, Jaciel Valente will give the lecture “La comprensión de la historia en Hannah Arendt: de la materia fáctica a la reificación narrativa”.
Jaciel Valente holds a degree in History from the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná and a master’s degree in History from the Federal University of Paraná. He is currently a doctoral candidate in History at the Federal University of Paraná and is undertaking a research stay at the University of Coimbra. He has developed several research projects on the work of Hannah Arendt and is a member of the Human Rights and Memory Policies Network —DIHPOM—.
The activity is held in collaboration with the Catalan Institute for Women.
