The Grup d'Estudis de Dones i Gènere a l'Antiguitat Tàcita Muta organizes the Seminari "Cultivating and cooking diversity: Gender, identities and gastronomy". During this seminari, which will be carried out virtually using Zoom, investigators will analyze gastronomy’s importance in different civilizations and during different historical moments, with special attention dedicated to the gender roles assigned to this activity. The sessions will concentrate on how cooking was considered in Mesopotamia, protohistoric Crete, Ancient Rome and Gothic Europe. These will be followed by an open space for datable.
