The IV International Workshop on Musical Heritage will take place at the Faculty of Geography and History of the University of Barcelona. The theme of this IV edition is Music in Feminine (16th-20th centuries) in the Mediterranean context. The topic will be approached from multiple perspectives to understand, explain, vindicate, and rethink a crucial theme such as "Women and Music" or, in other words, to understand the History of Music in an integral and non-exclusive way. Different thematic fields will be addressed: composition, performance, patronage, businesswomen (publishing world and instrument construction), female thinkers/critics (musical thought), from the body and dramaturgy, and from education.
