This conference, entitled "Communautés impossibles/Impossible Communities", aims to problematize the concept of community in relation to gender and/or sexualities from a political, philosophical, and cultural perspective. The conference, which will take place in Paris, forms part of the funded research project "Literatura y comunidades: una visión desde el género" coordinated by Marta Segarra, the object of which is to reflect on the "community" as a concept that molds identities at the individual level (the relationship between the subject and the group) and the collective (the delimitation or borders between groups), based on its representation in literary and cinematographic texts. The participants include the writer Hélène Cixous and the philosopher Jean-Luc Nancy, the researchers Rodrigo Andrés, Helena González Fernández, Joana Sabadell-Nieto and Marta Segarra from the Centre Dona i Literatura, as well as Anne E. Berger and Eleni Varikas (Université de Paris 8) and Eloi Grasset (Universitat de Barcelona), among others.
