Pollianna de Fátima Santos Freire (Universidade de Brasilia) will give the lecture "Conceição Evaristo: afrodescendence, gender, class". Brazilian writer Conceição Evaristo allows to consider racial, class and gender tensions in the Brazilian literary landscape. Her work is marked by "escrevivência", a concept created by the writer herself, whose signification points to her ancestors' memories, and consequently, to her condition as a black woman, which consciously conditions her writing. This activity is part of the cycle "Not only Clarice Lispector", organized by Estudis Gallecs i Portuguesos, ADHUC—Centre de Recerca Teoria, Gènere, Sexualitat i el Centre Cultural do Brasil em Barcelona. Lecture in Spanish. Attendance is open to the public.
