Eva Moreda, writer and professor at the University of Glasgow, will give a seminar entitled “A narrativa da tránsfuga. Escritura translingüe e (auto)tradución". The figure of female defectors as creators, studied amongst others by Martine Leibovici, has an insistent, self-reflective attitude, and is also critical of the identitarian, literary, and cultural crises. Their translingual writing suggests both a new beginning and an interrogation of the first language of creation and its cultural background. This seminar aims at studying these entre-deux positions through Eva Moreda’s own experiences about writing both in Galician and in English. This activity is coorganized by ADHUC, Estudis Gallecs i Portuguesos (UB) and the Mínor de Gallec (UAB) as part of the cycle "No només Rosalía de Castro". This seminar is part of the project Tránsfugas y parias modernas (FEM2017-83974-P MINECO / FEDER, UE). Attendance is free. You are advised to download and read the dossier before attending the seminar. The seminar will be held in Galician.
