I Symposium ¿La quarta onada?: Especulacions feministes per a un futur possible
The I Symposium "La quarta onada: Especulacions feministes per a un futur possible" aims to go beyond the analysis of the representation of gender and sexuality produced by the hegemonic patriarchal and social system in order to focus on the production of viable imaginaries in the speculative context of a possible future in which other socio-political and affective systems can develop. It wants to stay with the trouble (Donna Haraway) to work together in the construction of a scenario that provides semiotic, cognitive, political and hermeneutic tools that allow us to reflect from a place-other. The closing conference, "Imaginar/construir lo posible: Feminismo y futuro" will be given by Remedios Zafra (CSIC). The symposium is organized by Constelaciones Feministas, a transdisciplinary working group led by Teresa López-Pellisa (University of Alcalá), Katarzyna Paszkiewicz (ADHUC-Universitat de les Illes Balears) and Aida Rosende Pérez (Universitat de les Illes Balears), that aims to establish networks of reflection and thought from the critical culture to articulate inclusive feminist communities. This activity is the result of the research projects "Cinema and Environment: Affective Ecologies in the Anthropocene" (PID2019-110068GA-I00 / AEI / 10.13039/501100011033), "Bodies in Transit: Difference and Indifference" (FFI2017-84555-C2-2-P) and "Lo fantástico en la cultura española contemporánea (1955-2017): narrativa, teatro, cine, tv, cómic y radio" (FFI2017-84402-P).
