The Seminari Filosofia i Gènere, from ADHUC-Centre de Recerca Teroria, Gènere, Sexualitat, organizes the International Congress “The transmission in the feminine philosophical thought”. This activity is the conclusion of the three years’ research work of the project “La transmisión desde el pensamiento filosófico femenino" FFI2015-63828-P (MINECO, FEDER), whose aim was to analyse the importance of the concern about transmission in the feminine philosophical thought and which forms of transmission were used by women thinkers of the XXth century. Precisely because they had to confront the risk of no transmission, women philosophers are more attentive to the transmission of both the inherited knowledge and their own thought, and they show at the same time a major concern for the political and social consequences of knowledge and a particular attention towards the educational task, which they renew by looking for new languages and innovative forms of communication. The Congress aims to create a meeting place for recognized specialists in the work of women philosophers, coming from different countries, and the researchers of the project, in order to establish a dialogue that can be useful to evaluate the research done and, at the same time, may raise new questions. The Congress will take place on October 16 and 17, 2018, at the Big Hall of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Barcelona.
