Cristian González Aguirre

Cristian González Aguirre is a predoctoral researcher in the PhD program in Citizenship and Human Rights at the University of Barcelona, where he is developing his dissertation in political philosophy under a predoctoral contract with the UB. He holds a Master's degree in Contemporary Philosophy and a Master's degree in Political Philosophy and Ethics from Adolfo Ibáñez University (Chile), as well as a Bachelor's degree in Law from the same institution.
His work focuses on contemporary political philosophy and the link between political thought and institutional frameworks, with particular attention to the work of Hannah Arendt and current debates on citizenship, borders, and political space. He has complemented this line of research through advanced courses and projects in political theory and continental philosophy.
Regarding his teaching experience, he has taught classes and seminars in the areas of political philosophy, legal theory, and contemporary thought, in addition to participating in training activities and academic projects related to university research.
He is currently working under the direction of Dr. Lorena Fuster, developing research focused on displacement and freedom of movement in the work of Hannah Arendt.
