El plaer de la lectura. Indrets que elles han posat als mapes
Coordinated by Marta Font and Katarzyna Paszkiewicz, researchers at the Centre Dona i Literatura, the course El plaer de la lectura. Indrets que elles han posat als mapes offers a literary voyage through the places and spaces, real or fictional, of ten women writers who have meant a turning point in Catalan, English, Spanish, Romanian, and Latin American literatures, among others. Space and memory, community and myth, cities and passions or war zones are the different common spaces that we will visit through a reading of novels, short stories, and plays. Specialists in each of these writers will guide a dialogue around some of these questions: To what extent have these women writers transformed the real places into personal or symbolic spaces? Can we look at these real spaces in the same manner, after such singular voices have fictionalized them? Are spaces a character in the text?
The course, comprised of ten two-hour sessions, has a cost of 140€; discounts are offered for members of the UB community and residents of Badalona (115 €). Consult all the information on prices and the registration procedure in the Àrea de Formació Complementària of the Universitat de Barcelona.
