Elles. Sis escriptores de capçalera
The course "Elles. Sis esciptores de capçalera" aims at offering a space for dialogue to reflect on the work of women writers who have had a leading role in the emergence of a literature defending the role of the feminine, in different literary traditions, for example English, Catalan or Venezuelan, amongst others. We will focus on works by Virgina Woolf, Caterina Albert and Sandra Cisneros aided by specialists of each writer. Furthermore, the course will be structured around several questions: Is it possible to talk about topics that single out the works of female writers? How are the concepts of rewriting and the subversion of the canon understood? Which roles do sexuality and desire play in the different representations of women? How are "identity" and "border" combined? From which point of view do we talk about subjectivity?
