Will and desire. Contemporary sexual discourses and the issue of consent

The Seminari Filosofia i Gènere—ADHUC organizes the 33è Laboratori de Tesi. In this new session, PhD Clara Serra (ADHUC, Universitat de Barcelona) will present the research she is doing for her thesis project, under the supervision of Joana Masó Illamola (ADHUC, Universitat de Barcelona) and Núria Sánchez Madrid (Universidad Complutense de Madrid).

This research aims to address some of the disputes that have emerged within contemporary feminisms when thinking about sexuality, taking consent as a paradigmatic issue. Far from being evident, consent is ridden with polysemy, ambiguity, ambivalence and contradiction, which this research intends to bring to the fore.
