Anna Oliveras Tous is a PhD candidate at the University of Barcelona (UB) and a researcher in the Digital Health unit at Eurecat, specializing in artificial intelligence applications in medicine. She holds a Master’s degree in Computer Vision from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). Her doctoral research focuses on the development of generative AI methods, particularly diffusion models to create synthetic lung CT scans. Anna has expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and signal processing, with experience spanning both academia and industry. She has been a visiting researcher at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL, Switzerland), where she worked on AI-driven segmentation for cervical cancer detection. Additionally, she has worked as a computer vision engineer at Intekmedical, focusing on 3D reconstruction and image segmentation techniques for personalized medical treatments.
