The open access journal Acoustics is currently running a Special Issue entitled «Acoustics, Soundscapes and Sounds as Intangible Heritage», for which our team members Lidia Álvarez and Margarita Díaz-Andreu (PI) are serving as guest editors.
The aim of this Special Issue is to highlight the necessity of an interdisciplinary approach when studying the sonic aspects of heritage sites and heritage buildings. For that purpose, they would like to put together original research articles on any aspect of historical acoustics and soundscapes, archaeoacoustics, and advances in acoustic characterisation methodologies and virtual acoustics applied to heritage sites.
Deadline for submission is 30th April 2022.
