He has undertaken fifteen expeditions to study rock art sites and has led four research projects on this topic, publishing on the rock art of Central Asia and Siberia.<\/p>\n<p>His research has focused on Siberian shamanism and rock art and his ideas have been recently summarized in the book <em>Rocks, Crack and Drums: In Search of Ancient Shamanism in Siberia and Central Asia<\/em> (2017).
