En este seminario Leslie F. Zubieta nos compartir\u00e1 su trabajo doctoral en \u00c1frica sur-central (Malawi, Zambia y Mozambique) sobre el arte rupestre de Chinamwali vinculado a ritos de iniciaci\u00f3n femenina entre la poblaci\u00f3n Che\u0175a. Leslie argumenta que para sugerir la forma en que las pinturas rupestres fueron utilizadas en este caso de estudio, es clave situarlas como parte de una gama m\u00e1s amplia de cultura material. Por tanto, su atenci\u00f3n se ha enfocado en entender la intersecci\u00f3n simb\u00f3lica del arte rupestre y el arte pl\u00e1stico empleado en el contexto de iniciaci\u00f3n.
