Gemma Fàbrega – Thesis defense

Gemma completed a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the Universitat de Barcelona in 2018 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Violin Performance at the Conservatori Superior del Liceu in 2018. Afterwards, he continued her research career by pursuing a Master’s degree in Neuroscience at the University of Barcelona. After she pursued her PhD under the supervision of Prof. Josep Marco-Pallarés with an FPI fellowship.Her thesis aimed to understand the neural and oscillatory mechanisms underlying music-induced pleasure responses.

The research questions required the use of brain-imaging techniques such as EEG and fMRI. Additionally, she completed a research internship at McGill University.

Gemma will defend her thesis in November as part of the Doctoral Programme in Cervell, Cognició i Conducta at the Universitat de Barcelona.
