Marc Ballestero-Arnau obtained his Bachelor\u2019s degree in Psychology at the University of Barcelona and completed a Master\u2019s degree in Research in Cognition and Behavior. He then carried out his PhD under the supervision of Dr. Toni Cunillera and Dr. Antoni Rodr\u00edguez-Fornells, supported by a UB predoctoral fellowship.<\/p>\n

His doctoral thesis,\u00a0Food-Cue Processing in Normal-weight and Obese Individuals<\/em>, investigated the cognitive mechanisms through which food-related cues modulate attention, anticipation, and cue-driven behavior, as well as the extent to which these processes differ between normal-weight individuals and individuals with overweight or obesity.<\/p>\n

To address these questions, his research combined experimental methods from cognitive neuroscience and experimental psychology, including behavioral measures and electrophysiological techniques such as EEG. Overall, his work contributed to a more precise characterization of the cognitive processes through which food cues influence behavior in obesogenic environments.<\/header>\n
