At the UB Business School we are aware that the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic will transform our world under many aspects. Adjusting to the changes will be challenging, but we also know that new opportunities will arise in the next months and years.

Face-to-face teaching is suspended and facilities are closed but the mission and the compromise of the University of Barcelona does not cease. The University’s faculty and staff are working remotely and the applications for 2020 intake at the UB Business School are currently being reviewed by the admissions team.

We are aware that the deadlines fall at a time when general confinement measures are in place, nevertheless, the strict measures will soon come to an end and we will be gradually go back to a new normality.

To date there have been no changes to the postgraduate degrees schedule for the 2020/21 academic year at the University of Barcelona. Therefore, it is important that applications are submitted in due time.

The graduate programme comprises a one-year MSc in Business Research and the PhD in Business. The two stages can be coursed independently of one another provided that the student meets the requirements. The MSc in Business Research is taught full-time over one year or part-time over two years, while the PhD in Business normally involves three years of full-time study or five years of part-time study.

The Executive MBA is a one-year programme is targeted at professionals including entrepreneurs, business owners, senior executives and middle managers with at least three years of full-time working experience, as well as professionals who want to gain a deeper understanding of management systems in the private sector. Candidates are expected to show strong leadership skills, global perspective, functional expertise and innovation attitudes.

Finally, the MSc in International Business is an official one-year programme taught in English. Its aim is to train specialists in global business management and covers the fields of finance and accounting, marketing, operations, human resources and strategic management.
