The UB Business School has successfully concluded the XVII edition of the Summer School on Management of Creativity in an Innovation Society, held from June 25 to July 11, 2025. Organized in collaboration with Mosaic–HEC Montréal and IAE Nantes (Nantes Université), the programme brought together participants from across the globe for an immersive, multidisciplinary learning experience spanning three cities: Montréal, Nantes, and Barcelona.
Recognized as a hub for international collaboration and forward-thinking approaches, the Summer School once again fostered dynamic exchanges between graduate students, professors, professionals, and industry leaders. This year’s edition offered a unique platform for exploring how creativity can drive innovation across sectors and borders.
The final week of the programme, hosted in Barcelona (July 6–11), was dedicated to urban innovation, sustainability, health, and the cultural and creative industries. Participants engaged in workshops, site visits, and thematic sessions that connected academic insights with real-world challenges.
Highlights of the Barcelona week included:
- Urban Futures at Fabra i Coats.
- One Health at Tech Barcelona.
- Sustainability, KM0 and Environmental Stewardship at Can Marí–Casino de Tiana.
- Cultural & Creative Industries at Museu de la Música.
- Final day at Hub Social Barcelona.
Throughout the three-week programme, participants took part in lectures, collaborative projects, and networking activities that nurtured critical thinking, co-creation, and interdisciplinary dialogue. Each module was designed to empower participants with tools to apply creativity in their respective professional and academic contexts.
The Summer School continues to be the flagship programme of Mosaic, HEC Montréal’s Innovation & Creativity Hub. Year after year, this initiative reinforces its reputation as a global reference for innovation in management education.
The UB Business School, under the co-direction of Montserrat Pareja-Eastaway and Manel González-Piñero, extends its heartfelt thanks to all facilitators, guest speakers, and participants who made this edition a truly transformative experience.
