Welcome to CASCO, an integrated score for the staging of cancer cachexia.

The methodology for staging cachexia includes:

1) The CASC-IN tool which allows for the initial classification of the patient as non-cachectic, precachectic or cachectic.

2) The CASCO/mini CASCO tools which are used for the quantitative determination of the cachexia degree. Depending on the availability of measurements in the clinical setting, either the full CASCO or the simplified miniCASCO tools can be used. The results obtained with miniCASCO correlate in an optimal way with those obtained with the full CASCO tool.
