UB Chair on Legal Medicine, Professional Liability and Clinical Safety
This chair is the result of a collaboration between the CoMB (Official College of Doctors of Barcelona) and the University of Barcelona (UB), the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, Grup Med and Relyens.

The main objective of this chair is to promote teaching, research and training in the areas of legal medicine, medical liability and clinical safety, as well as to promote the safe practice of the profession.
Its activities are based around the following core areas:
- Teaching in different fields, starting from the bachelor’s degree to postgraduate training and master’s degrees in health risk management.
- Research, facilitating scholarships and national and international grants for doctoral students writing their theses on the topic of professional liability, and for specific research groups.
- Knowledge transfer and dissemination of results at seminars, conferences and in scientific journals.
- Projection on an international level, by establishing relationships and exchange agreements with universities and research units in other countries.
