Ana Aurora Torres

Ana Aurora Torres obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and a Master’s degree in Biomedicine at the University of Barcelona (UB). She joined the Cancer Cell Biology Research Group as a Final Degree Project student in 2022 and stayed for her MSc the following year. Since October 2023, she is performing her Ph.D. studies under the supervision of Dr. Vanessa Soto-Cerrato.

Her current work is focused on evaluating the inhibition of cytoprotective autophagy as a new therapeutic approach to overcome resistance to conventional treatments in lung cancer.
