In 2007, superconductivity was discovered at the interface of two insulating transition-metal oxides (Science 2007, 317, 1196-1199), however the number of technologies enabling the formation of interfaces and controlled “gradient engineering” of organic and inorganic functional matter is still missing. In our group, we explore new methods for the controlled chemical doping of organic and inorganic materials as well as to engineer controlled chemical gradients of functional matter via solution-based processes.
