Albert C. Aragon\u00e8s is Serra-H\u00fanter Lecturer Professor and Head of a Max Planck Institute Partner Group at the University of Barcelona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He obtained his Master’s degree in Nanoscience from the University of Barcelona in 2012 and his Ph.D. in Molecular Electronics from the same institution in 2017 under the supervision of Prof. Fausto Sanz. After his PhD, he carried out postdoctoral research in the group of Prof. D\u00edez-P\u00e9rez at King’s College London (UK), focusing on biomolecular electronics. Later, he was awarded a Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2019, which led him to join the molecular spectroscopy group of Prof. Bonn at the Max Planck Institute (MPI-P Mainz, Germany), where he worked under the supervision of the independent group leader Prof. Domke. He returned to the University of Barcelona in 2021 as a junior group leader funded by the “la Caixa” Foundation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

His research focuses on molecular-scale charge transport under force fields, with a current emphasis on integrating molecular charge transport with plasmonics and (nano-optical) trapping. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
