Then he moved to the Universitat de Barcelona where he joined the group of Prof. J. M. Rib\u00f3 (2010-2011) thanks to a fellowship for Young Foreign Researchers funded by the Spanish Government. In Barcelona, he also worked as postdoctoral researcher in the groups of Prof. R. M. Ortu\u00f1o at the UAB (2010-2011), and of Prof. D. Amabilino (2013-2014) at the CSIC Institute of Materials Science. In 2014, he moved to the Institut de Science et d\u2019Ing\u00e9nierie Supramol\u00e9culaires of Strasbourg (Dr. T. Hermans\u2019 group), where he won a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship for the research project ASSEMZYME. In April 2017, he joined the group of Dr. Puigmart\u00ed-Luis (part of the deMello group) at ETH-Z\u00fcrich as Senior Research Assistant (Oberassistent). With the appointment of Dr. Puigmart\u00ed-Luis as an ICREA Professor, in September 2020 he relocated with the ChemInFlow group to Universitat de Barcelona (UB). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-colibri-color-6-color has-text-color\"><strong>In March 2021, Alessandro was appointed as Profesor Lector (Assistant Professor) in the Department of Organic Chemistry at UB.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-colibri-color-6-color has-text-color\">Alessandro&#8217;s research experience is at the interface between supramolecular, organic, physical-organic chemistry and colloid chemistry. Namely, his interests have ranged from the investigation of chirality in amphiphile and porphyrin assemblies, to the study of kinetically controlled self-assembly and pathway complexity in aqueous media, and of enzyme mediated dissipative (chemical fuel-driven) supramolecular polymerization.
