Doctoral Project
The doctoral thesis focuses on Palestinian grassroots organizations that use tourism as a political tool; that is, as a mechanism to make the geopolitical context of the territory known and to create spaces for awareness and critical engagement among international visitors. Through the analysis of these initiatives, the research contributes to the academic debate on the political uses of tourism and transnational solidaristic mobilities, particularly in contexts shaped by colonialism. It also pays particular attention to the transformations that have taken place following the events of 7 October 2023 and to their impact on the strategies, discourses, and practices of these organizations.
