Project title: Documenting Omurano through Urarina Oral Narrative. (Language Legacies Grant – Endangered Languages Fund 2022)
Research description: The project documents the lexicon, basic grammar, and history of the Omurano People through interviews conducted in the Urarina language in the Urituyacu River basin. In general, the project is the seed of a broader one dedicated to the history of the region between the Pastaza and Tigre rivers, where four language isolates are spoken, as well as others belonging to the Chicham, Kichwa, and Zaparoan language families.
