En els productes no esmaltats, es passa el material a coure.</p> <p><strong>Cuita:</strong> És una de les etapes més importants del procés de fabricació, ja que hi tenen lloc una series de reaccions que provoquen canvis en la microestructura i per tant responsables de les propietats finals. Els vidrats més econòmics són els de base SiO<sub>2</sub>/CaO/Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>. Les primeres matèries del vidriat són: sílice, fundents,opacificants (silicat de zirconi, òxids de titani, òxid d'estany, etc) i pigments com silicat de praseodimi (groc), òxids,silicats i aluminats de cobalt (blau), òxids de creo i comats de cobalt (verd), òxids de ferro (vermell), sulfurs de seleni i cadmi (carmí).
