A research team formed by researchers from the University of Barcelona (UB), the Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBELL) and the University of Munich has developed a new Vaccinia virus strain that represents a significant breakthrough in viral immunotherapy research.
Bluephage has been chosen as the winner of the Senén Vilaró Award for the best innovative company of 2020 thanks to its technology for detecting coliphages.
It allows to detect any bacteriological presence in the water in a short period of time and to facilitate a quick action.
The Faculty of Biology of the UB hosted the conference “The Wuhan Coronavirus (2019-nCoV): fears, facts and science”, which took place on February 13, 2020 at the “Aula Magna Ramon Parés”.
