From 25 to 27 October, Seville hosted, with great success, the 6th Congress of the Spanish Biosafety Association (AEBioS), a leading event in the field of biosafety that brought together renowned specialists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This congress provided participants with the opportunity to delve into relevant and topical issues, such as environmental pathogen detection and biosecurity management, as well as the latest regulatory changes and developments in biocustody management. As a first, in this edition participants were able to attend technical and practical workshops on the basic day-to-day aspects of working in research spaces. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

OSSMA actively participated in drafting and presenting a scientific communication in poster format<\/a>. This poster showcased a tool developed for the standardisation of biological risk assessment in laboratories and research spaces, as well as for the detection of activities and facilities requiring notification to the competent authorities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tool is based on the fundamental pillars established by biosafety, occupational risk prevention and environmental protection regulations, and aims to be a significant contribution to the field of biological risk management, primarily to ensure compliance with current legislation, and with the essential objective of contributing to improved safety in research environments and protecting the health of people and the environment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
