These meetings are part of the COMMUNITY project<\/strong> of the University of Barcelona, which aims to promote social inclusion of refugees<\/strong> in Barcelona through physical activity and sport<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

Who?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nThe meetings are addressed to refugees<\/strong>, university students, volunteers, professionals and organizations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n
<\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Where?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nWe met at the CEM Can Ricart, located at 10 Sant Oleguer Street, in Barcelona<\/strong> (Metro L2-L3 Paral\u00b7lel, L3 Drassanes or L3 Liceu).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

When?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nSocio-sports Meetings are organized every Wednesday, from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m.<\/strong>, with Laura Tom\u00e0s, our sports educator.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

If you are a refugee<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n– You will make new friends.
– You can practice Catalan and Spanish.
– You will forget your problems and have a nice time.
– You will learn more about our culture.
– You will improve your adaptability.
– You will learn to work as part of a team, solve problems and achieve objectives.
– You will practice sports while having fun.
– Improve your quality of life.
– You will obtain an accreditation useful for social rooting.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

If you are a volunteer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n– You will meet new people while doing exercise.
– You will improve your interpersonal skills, problem-solving and teamwork skills.
– You can practice foreign languages.
– You will have a good time while providing a service to society.
– You will develop an open attitude towards diversity.
– You will work on topics such as empowerment, interculturality, positive conflict management and racism.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

If you are a student or professional<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n– You will learn how to design socio-educational activities through motor games.
– You will be able to plan learning processes in the context of social exclusion.
– You will learn group dynamization techniques.
– You will be able to lead didactic processes with strategies to promote learning and socialization.
– You will test the effectiveness of socio-educational intervention and physical activity as pedagogical resources.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The \u2018COMMUNITY\u2019 project has come to an end and, with it, the Socio-Sports Meetings. This project has been developed over 3 years (2021 to 2023) and the last meeting took place on 20 December 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
