Canals, del Departament de Biomedicina de la Universitat de Barcelona. Aquest coneixement se suma a l\u2019\u00e0mplia experi\u00e8ncia cient\u00edfica en t\u00e8cniques d\u2019aprenentatge autom\u00e0tic o <em>machine learning<\/em> del grup Computer Vision and Machine Learning, que dirigeix la Dra. Petia Radeva, del Departament de Matem\u00e0tiques i Inform\u00e0tica de la UB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El desenvolupament com\u00fa del model <em>in silico <\/em>permet fer simulacions, crear models matem\u00e0tics i visualitzar els processos m\u00e8dics i biol\u00f2gics, cosa que permet fer prediccions i simulacions, amb la m\u00e0xima precisi\u00f3, de processos biol\u00f2gics reals en un entorn virtual, i anticipar aix\u00ed possibles reaccions d\u2019un f\u00e0rmac en les persones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aquest model, que est\u00e0 sent desenvolupat per modelitzar la malaltia neurodegenerativa de Huntington, permetr\u00e0, basant-se en els resultats obtinguts a partir d\u2019an\u00e0lisis d\u2019alt rendiment de la diferenciaci\u00f3 de c\u00e8l\u00b7lules mare pluripotents humanes, dur a terme estudis de cribratge farmacol\u00f2gic <em>in silico <\/em>per a aquesta devastadora malaltia que a dia d\u2019avui no t\u00e9 tractament efectiu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 entre Creatio i DataScience@UB \u00e9s un exemple clar de l\u2019evoluci\u00f3 de l\u2019experimentaci\u00f3 m\u00e8dica. Els aven\u00e7os en intel\u00b7lig\u00e8ncia artificial en mat\u00e8ria de dades biol\u00f2giques es tradueixen en el desenvolupament de models <em>in silico<\/em> com a opci\u00f3 de futur, per la seva capacitat per accelerar els processos de desenvolupament de medicaments.
