Amb un pressupost de 4,54 milions d&#8217;euros, aquesta iniciativa pret\u00e9n formar investigadors&nbsp;predoctorals&nbsp;en m\u00e8todes in vitro i in&nbsp;silico&nbsp;de nova generaci\u00f3 per estudiar malalties cerebrals. La coordinaci\u00f3 d&#8217;aquest projecte per part de&nbsp;Creatio&nbsp;suposa un reconeixement destacat al seu lideratge en l&#8217;\u00e0mbit dels m\u00e8todes alternatius a l&#8217;experimentaci\u00f3 animal (en angl\u00e8s New&nbsp;Alternative&nbsp;Methodologies&nbsp;o NAM) de nova generaci\u00f3, la formaci\u00f3 doctoral i la neuroci\u00e8ncia&nbsp;translacional.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les malalties cerebrals representen un repte cient\u00edfic i social important a causa de la seva alta incid\u00e8ncia i el creixent envelliment de la poblaci\u00f3, sumat a la limitada disponibilitat de models humans rellevants i robusts que permetin estudiar els mecanismes subjacents en les malalties cerebrals i desenvolupar tractaments efica\u00e7os. Els enfocaments experimentals tradicionals, inclosos els models animals i els models cel\u00b7lulars no humans, sovint no aconsegueixen reproduir plenament la complexitat del cervell hum\u00e0, fet que contribueix a altes taxes de frac\u00e0s en el desenvolupament de noves ter\u00e0pies. En aquest context, hi ha una necessitat creixent d&#8217;eines innovadores i m\u00e9s representatives de l&#8217;\u00e9sser hum\u00e0 que millorin la translaci\u00f3 de la recerca cap a aplicacions cl\u00edniques, reduint alhora la depend\u00e8ncia de l&#8217;experimentaci\u00f3 animal i permetent la reducci\u00f3 de l&#8217;\u00fas d&#8217;animals en experimentaci\u00f3.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>VISI-ON-BRAIN \u00e9s una xarxa doctoral europea de 48 mesos de durada que formar\u00e0 15 investigadors&nbsp;predoctorals&nbsp;en el desenvolupament d&#8217;eines d&#8217;\u00faltima generaci\u00f3 in vitro i in&nbsp;silico&nbsp;per a l&#8217;estudi de malalties cerebrals complexes, incloent-hi malalties del&nbsp;neurodesenvolupament&nbsp;com el trastorn de l&#8217;espectre autista, malalties&nbsp;neurodegeneratives&nbsp;com la malaltia d&#8217;Alzheimer i la malaltia de&nbsp;Huntington, i malalties mentals com l&#8217;esquizofr\u00e8nia i el trastorn depressiu major. El programa de recerca combina tecnologies avan\u00e7ades de bioenginyeria, com ara plataformes&nbsp;brain-on-chip i models basats en&nbsp;organoides, amb eines computacionals i d&#8217;intel\u00b7lig\u00e8ncia artificial, afavorint la integraci\u00f3 d&#8217;enfocaments experimentals diversos.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Per fer-ho, VISI-ON-BRAIN reuneix un s\u00f2lid consorci&nbsp;paneuropeu&nbsp;que combina socis acad\u00e8mics, cl\u00ednics i industrials, permetent un enfocament interdisciplinari i intersectorial.
