Una societat oberta, diversa i receptora d\u2019immigrants que d\u2019entrada no en coneixen la llengua pr\u00f2pia, i que en el seu proc\u00e9s d\u2019integraci\u00f3 ling\u00fc\u00edstica es troben amb una llengua interposada i molt m\u00e9s potent demogr\u00e0ficament: el castell\u00e0 \u2014que \u00e9s, a m\u00e9s, la llengua inicial de la meitat dels nouvinguts, com ressalt\u00e0vem en un\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ub.edu\/cusc\/web\/apunts\/numero-13-2019-si-em-dius-don-vens-et-podre-dir-com-parles-3-nats-a-lestranger\/\">apunt anterior<\/a>. La sostenibilitat del catal\u00e0 en el mitj\u00e0 i llarg termini dep\u00e8n, en part, de l\u2019aprenentatge i l\u2019\u00fas de la llengua per part d\u2019aquesta poblaci\u00f3, que el 2020 representava un 36,4% del total, sumant els nats a la resta de l\u2019Estat i a l\u2019estranger.
