Entre els dies 20 i 22 de novembre tindr\u00e0 lloc a la seu de l’IEC el “2n Simposi Internacional sobre nous parlants en una Europa Multiling\u00fce: reptes i oportunitats”, organitzat per la UOC i la “Xarxa europea sobre nous parlants en una Europa multiling\u00fce” (acci\u00f3 COST ISCH IS1306).<\/p>\n

Diversos investigadors del CUSC-UB hi prendran part dijous 20 de novembre. Emili Boix i Anna Parad\u00eds seran els primer a intervenir-hi, amb la comunicaci\u00f3 \u00abProcesses of language acquisition and loss among newspeakers in Catalonia, Ibiza, and Formentera\u00bb. En una altra sessi\u00f3, Francesca Walls I F. Xavier Vila parlaran sobre \u00abTwice a new speaker? The values and social fields which favour Catalan acquisition\u00bb, en el marc del debat sobre \u201cTraject\u00f2ries ling\u00fc\u00edstiques i immigrat\u00f2ries\u201d. L\u2019\u00faltima comunicaci\u00f3 ser\u00e0 la d\u2019Avel\u00b7l\u00ed Flors, \u00abDoes school create new speakers of Catalan? The Catalan and Valencian cases compared\u00bb, dins del grup sobre \u201cLa creaci\u00f3 de nous parlants entre casa i l\u2019escola\u201d.<\/p>\n

De la seua banda, F. Xavier Vila pronunciar\u00e0 \u2013juntament amb Isidor Mar\u00ed (UOC)\u2013 una de les confer\u00e8ncies plen\u00e0ries del simposi, amb el t\u00edtol \u00abDe la socioling\u00fc\u00edstica del conflicte a la socioling\u00fc\u00edstica del multiling\u00fcisme: visions passades, presents i futures del contacte de lleng\u00fces\u00bb, el mateix dijous 20 a les 19.00h, en una activitat coorganitzada per la Societat Catalana de Socioling\u00fc\u00edstica (SOCS).<\/p>\n
