On Tuesday, November 11th, 2025, TECNIO —the network that brings together most Catalan research groups accredited with the TECNIO-ACCIÓ seal— successfully held its 4th TECNIO Congress at the Reus Fairgrounds.
EDDU-UB was represented by Prof. Santiago Vázquez, who attended the event on behalf of the unit. Throughout the day, participants engaged in discussions and presentations focused on the technology-transfer model that Catalonia needs. Speakers addressed the role of companies in the innovation ecosystem, their collaboration with TECNIO agents, and how scientific entrepreneurs are transforming disruptive technologies into market-ready solutions.
The conference gathered more than 200 attendees and concluded in the afternoon following the general assembly of TECNIO members.
For EDDU-UB, participation in the congress reinforces its position as a key technology-transfer player in the biomedical field, strengthens ties between industry and academia, and contributes to shaping future innovation strategies for Catalonia.
