A causa de la seva naturalesa gaireb\u00e9 tancada, el mar Mediterrani ret\u00e9 la major part dels pl\u00e0stics que hi arriben des del continent, de manera que \u00e9s essencial comprendre\u2019n l\u2019origen i l\u2019entrada (per rius, abocaments directes i platges), aix\u00ed com els seus mecanismes de transport i dest\u00ed en el medi mar\u00ed. Aquest coneixement \u00e9s clau per abordar de manera efica\u00e7 l\u2019origen i les conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncies de la contaminaci\u00f3 i per desenvolupar estrat\u00e8gies de mitigaci\u00f3 i pol\u00edtiques sostenibles.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">El projecte <strong>TRAP<\/strong> se centra en la regi\u00f3 costanera, a trav\u00e9s de la qual la major part dels residus pl\u00e0stics arriben al medi mar\u00ed. Mitjan\u00e7ant la combinaci\u00f3 d\u2019un mostreig cient\u00edfic espec\u00edfic i harmonitzat dels pl\u00e0stics i t\u00e8cniques de modelitzaci\u00f3 num\u00e8rica operacional, es pret\u00e9n establir un sistema de monitoratge i predicci\u00f3 de la distribuci\u00f3 dels pl\u00e0stics a la regi\u00f3 costanera de l&#8217;\u00c0rea Funcional Est del Progrma Interreg POCTEFA. La metodologia de mostreig es basa en la ci\u00e8ncia ciutadana, ja que ofereix un avantatge clar respecte a la ci\u00e8ncia convencional en operar amb una major resoluci\u00f3 geogr\u00e0fica i temporal, reduint els costos del projecte i incrementant la conscienciaci\u00f3 social.
