Aquests processos tenen un paper fonamental en la configuraci\u00f3 de la circulaci\u00f3 oce\u00e0nica a gran escala i en la morfologia del fons mar\u00ed.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">L\u2019estudi se centra en l\u2019Estret de Dinamarca, un pas estrat\u00e8gic que connecta l\u2019oce\u00e0 \u00c0rtic amb l\u2019Atl\u00e0ntic Nord. En aquesta regi\u00f3, corrents de fons molt intensos interactuen amb una batimetria complexa i abrupta, generant processos de submesoescala com turbul\u00e8ncia, inestabilitats i resuspensi\u00f3 de sediments. Tot i la seva petita escala, aquests processos poden tenir un impacte acumulatiu sobre el flux de masses d\u2019aiguaprofundes, el balan\u00e7 de sediments i l\u2019evoluci\u00f3 del paisatge mar\u00ed.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">El projecte combina observacions oceanogr\u00e0fiques in situ, dades batim\u00e8triques d\u2019alta resoluci\u00f3, i models num\u00e8rics per entendre millor com aquests mecanismes locals influeixen en la din\u00e0mica del sistemaatl\u00e0ntic. L\u2019objectiu final \u00e9s millorar la representaci\u00f3 d\u2019aquests processos en models de circulaci\u00f3 global i contribuir al coneixement de la connectivitat entre l\u2019\u00c0rtic i l\u2019Atl\u00e0ntic.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><strong>MIXSED<\/strong> compta amb un equip investigador internacional amb expertesa en din\u00e0mica oce\u00e0nica a petita i gran escala, transport de sediments i geomorfologia submarina, aix\u00ed com un coneixement profund de l\u2019Atl\u00e0ntic Nord subpolar i l\u2019Estret de Dinamarca.
