Popular Economy is a field of study that brings together ethnographic works and theoretical-methodological and political reflections on everyday or non-official ideas, practices, relationships, and socio-economic institutions. It emerged as a response to the economic-financial crises in Latin America and is positioned as an alternative to conventional development paradigms by putting the reproduction of people, households, and communities centre stage. The line of research on Popular Economies is an active part of this debate. We are interested in investigating the moral, material, and spiritual dimensions of popular, informal, social and solidarity economies, notions of value, as well as translocal connections and articulation with official actors and sectors.<\/p>\n
