IRCC Conference 2025: «Local and Global Voices: A Collective Action Deepening the Work of Recovery and Community Citizenship»

On Friday, June 6, 2025, we participated in the International Recovery and Citizenship Collective (IRCC) Conference, a global gathering held at the Yale School of Medicine that brought together professionals, activists, people with experience, and researchers committed to transforming mental health systems based on the principles of recovery, citizenship, and social justice.

During the conference, we introduced Citizenship as Mental Health project, which proposes a profound rethinking of the objectives of mental health services from a perspective centered on human rights and the active participation of users. The presentation was part of the panel entitled “Bridging Recovery, Citizenship, and Participatory Process to Transform Systems of Care”.
