ACPSM-AEN 25th Anniversary Conference

As part of the ACPSM-AEN 25th Anniversary Conference, entitled “Generating Narrative: Critical Training in Mental Health,” held on March 20 and 21, 2026, in Barcelona, the oral presentation “Randomised Trial of Awareness Interventions for Mental Health Professionals” was given, sharing the objectives and main results of the Citizenship as Mental Health project. We also presented the poster “Using the Citizenship Model in Mental Health to Inform Recovery Trajectories,” which outlined the objectives of the current LiveCitizenship project. This project includes the co-design of peer training programs and the development of AI-based reflective tools to facilitate reflection on one’s own recovery pathway.

The conference also featured Diana González Mañas as a guest speaker on the panel “Rethinking Treatment from a Rights Perspective.” In her presentation, she offered a critical perspective on rights-based frameworks, linking professional practice to the need to recognise individuals as full subjects of rights, in line with the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
