Mental Health Catalonia and the First Person Mental Health Research Group have published the study Volunteering and activism in mental health: impacts on well-being and citizenship, arising from research that analyzes how participation in activism and volunteering in mental health influences the emotional well-being of the people involved.
The study focuses on a key issue: the impact of activism and volunteering in mental health on the people who participate. In this sense, the research starts from two central questions: how do activists and volunteers experience the relationship between their participation and their well-being, and what factors of this participation promote or hinder it.
