DESCRIPTION:The paper offers a criticism of some positive theses about  kno
 wledge influentially advanced by Tim Williamson. In particular\, the paper
   argues that knowledge is not typically accessible by introspection and t
 hat\, via  a well-known route\, this fact yields fairly strong reasons to 
 think that  knowledge is not a mental state. Moreover\, independently of t
 he mentality of  knowledge\, the paper constructs a novel kind of countere
 xample to the claim that  knowledge is the most general factive mental sta
 te. Finally\, independently of  the mentality or generality of knowledge\,
  the paper presents a reductio of the  claim that what one knows is always
  part of one&rsquo\;s evidence. &nbsp\;&nbsp\;
