DESCRIPTION:                 Naturalistic theories of content seek to speci
 fy the conditions that must be met for an entity to represent another enti
 ty. One of the most important objections against these theories is the so 
 called &#39\;Indeterminacy Problem&#39\;. In this paper\, I first distingu
 ish different ways of developing this objection\, and argue that current a
 ccounts are unable to solve it. Then\, I put foward an original version of
  teleosemantics\, which I call &#39\;Explanation-based Teleosemantics&#39\
 ;. and argue that it can satisfactorily address this problem within the fr
 amework of a powerful naturalistic theory of content.
