I have a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Maryland, College Park, where I worked mainly with Peter Carruthers and Lindley Darden. My thesis addressed questions about types and kinds in the cognitive sciences, a topic that intersects with ongoing interests in philosophy of mind and science (specially mechanistic explanation).

I am a Fulbright and a "La Caixa" alumna. Previously, I received a MA from the University of British Columbia, and a "licenciatura" from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. I served as a member of the medical ethics committee at the Capital Region Medical Center (MD, USA), where we did consulting on various ethical conflicts in the hospital. Currently I am an adjunct lecturer (prof. substituta) at the University of Barcelona.

    Here's a CV.
