Juan de la Cierva Postdoctoral Fellowships 2025
The LOGOS Research Group wishes to inform young researchers in philosophy at the postdoctoral stage of their careers —who were or will have been awarded their PhD between 1 January 2024 and 31 December 2025— that the Spanish State Agency for Research (AEI) has published the 2025 call for Juan de la Cierva postdoctoral fellowships. These fellowships are for three years and aim to promote the incorporation of early-career researchers into Spanish R&D centres in order to help complete their postdoctoral training.
The application platform for individual candidates will open on 25 November 2025 and close on 17 December 2025 at 14:00 (Madrid time). Institutional submissions (by the host university or research centre) must be completed earlier, by 10 December 2025 at 14:00 (Madrid time). Please note that, as usual, the University of Barcelona may set an internal deadline for complete applications that coincides with, or is slightly earlier than, the institutional deadline.

Applicants need an academic sponsor who holds a PhD and has a valid contract with a Spanish university for the full duration of the fellowship. LOGOS members who meet these criteria are happy to sponsor suitable applicants.
Researchers interested in seeking such sponsorship are encouraged to contact a Senior LOGOS member working in their field, or else the Coordinator, by email. Expressions of interest should be accompanied by an updated CV.
LOGOS particularly welcomes expressions of interest from female researchers and members of other underrepresented groups.
