He is currently Professor / Chair of Political Economy at Lancaster University, Research Fellow at the International Institute of Social History, Amsterdam. Member of the Leibniz Societät, Berlin and other learned societies. Member of the Scientific Board of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, Berlin. Guest Professor at the Faculty of Economics, Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan. He is a member of the editorial board of Sin Permiso and co-editor of the MEGA, the Complete Works of Marx and Engels, the largest scientific edition project in the social sciences at this moment.
